Life Update - For Those Who Have Noticed

It's been almost a month since I have posted a blog or probably even an Instagram post. I wondered if clients or spectators have noticed and I hope you all understand. A bunch of not-so-fun life stuff has happened recently so my mind has seriously been all over the place. My mom has been in the ICU since November 3rd with life-threatening Pneumonia and I've been traveling back and forth to Georgia every week or so to check on her and to help my dad and brothers out around the house. It's been a very stressful time for my family and to say it's been hard getting back into the swing of things would be an understatement. Her recovery has been a series of ups and downs. One minute she was stable, the next they're talking about calling hospice and I'm leaving work to drive to Georgia and then she improves and her vitals are better than they've been since. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions and I'm still on the edge every time my phone rings.

As for my work, I love being able to take pictures for beautiful people; for smiling kids; for couples in love. I love what I do. But when life get's in the way, it really puts things into perspective. It teaches you what's most important in life...and that is ALWAYS family. I believe in family first. Family before work. Family before money. Family before everything. So, I am trying my best to get back to the hustle I was in before all this happened but it is taking me some time. I hope you all can bare with me.

For those that are wondering, as of right now, my mom is still in the hospital but she is improving so we are hopeful. We still have a long road ahead of us....months and months of pulmonary care and rehab. So, if you are the praying kind, she still needs prayer so please keep her in your thoughts.

Fortunately, I have not let this affect my booked sessions or photo delivery (thank god) but I wanted to post this for you all to read in case something does happen to go wrong with my mom. I want my clients to know that I will be communicating with everyone who has been booked throughout my moms recovery and if things go south and I for some reason need to take time off, you know why.

Thank you all so much for trusting me with capturing your families precious moments and for the love and support you all continue to give me time and time again. You are all so special to me and are very much so appreciated.

Hold your loved ones close this holiday season and tell each other you love one another every chance you get.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
